FreeCharge Payment Technologies Private Limited ('FreeCharge') thanks you for being a valuable customer and for having confidence and trust in FreeCharge.We are pleased to inform you that Freecharge has been acquired by Axis Bank Limited (“Axis Bank”). Accordingly, as per the directions and approvals of the Reserve Bank of India, FreeCharge will be transferring its PPI (Prepaid Payment Instrument) business to Axis Bank on January 17, 2018The best part is that nothing has changed for you. There will be no change in your login information, balance and transactions history and you can continue to use your FreeCharge application, website, and mobile site to recharge, make bill payments or to pay merchants. The FreeCharge Balance issued by Axis Bank would be accepted across an even larger merchant base, thus, providing you an even broader spectrum of online & offline merchants.If you choose not to continue to enjoy the benefits of your FreeCharge Balance/Services, please email us at care@freecharge.com. care@freecharge.com. from your registered email address to notify us of your choice of opting out after consuming the balance lying in your FreeCharge Balance or requesting redemption of your FreeCharge Balance by one time transfer to your bank account, free of charge, by providing your bank account details such as Account Holder Name, Account Number and the IFSC Code (“Closure Information”).Please note that you must intimate us and provide us the Closure Information by January 16, 2018 if you wish to close your existing Freecharge Balance/Services.In case, you only intimate us your choice of opting out but don’t provide us the Closure Information by January 16, 2018, your balance with FreeCharge shall be held in a specially designated bank account until you submit the requisite Closure Information to FreeCharge at care@freecharge.com.In case, we do not receive any communication from you by January 16, 2018, your FreeCharge Balance shall be issued by Axis Bank from January 17, 2018.Please note that Gift Instruments issued by FreeCharge shall be mandatorily transferred to Axis Bank on January 17, 2018 unless consumed.Please feel free to write to us for any grievances or queries at care@freecharge.com.
