UPI Global is currently supported in Bhutan, France, Mauritius, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka, UAE. This list is growing every month.
What are the fees for UPI Global transactions?
UPI Global transactions are subject to a fee charged by the bank, The fee may vary depending on the currency exchange rate and Bank Fee applied on it.
Why am I unable to see the option to activate UPI Global on Freecharge?
You may not see this option due to any one of the below reasons: Your bank currently does not support UPI Global payments. This feature is not enabled for you yet. We’ll notify you when you can start making UPI Global payments.
Can I send money to a friend or family member aboard using UPI Global on Freecharge?
As per regulation, NPCI has currently allowed only P2M international payments. Payments are allowed to international merchants only and not to users.
For what duration UPI international is enabled?
UPI International is enabled for 3 months (90 days) by default. You can set up the end date but it can not exceed 90 days. You can deactivate it anytime from your Freecharge app.
